We hosted another successful St. Patty’s Day weekend at our home this year, despite the cold weather. It’s impossible to believe that just a couple of years ago we were sweating to death watching the St. Patty’s Day parade in Cleveland.

We had about 30 people between the ages of four and ninety-two eating, drinking and being merry, and once the music started we had a basement full of singers as well!

We actually made just the right amount of food for once–the moms did a great job on the dessert table, and my husband did an excellent job on the corned beef, cabbage and vegetables.

I guess I did alright at setting the meal plan and letting others help execute it!

We had a few friends spend the night so our celebration culminated with a delicious Ulster Fry in the morning, sans black pudding, unfortunately.

I can’t wait for the day I take my husband back to Northern Ireland for a true Ulster Fry at Eileen’s in Coleraine.
