Happy One-Year Anniversary, Travel Blog!
I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by. I thought so long and hard before starting this blog not sure if anyone else would ever take the time to stop by, or if they did, whether or not they would care about my thoughts on travel or want to hear about some of my world experiences.
During this past year, I’ve discovered that none of those things matter. I don’t write this blog for the world to see or to impress anyone. I write it because I’ve had meaningful experiences all around the globe that have touched me and really shaped who I am, and I like putting them down so that I can go back to them and relive those experiences again and again. I love photography and music, and I like tracking my experiences through those mediums as well, but words are my first and foremost love for expressing myself, and I know now that this was the right thing to do.
So many things have happened this past year– personal and professional, private and public– but I’m happy to look back and see that I was able to capture a few moments here. There is so much more I wish I could comment on, so many additional trips I would like to take, but I think I did the best I could throughout what was an incredible, trying, fun and busy year.
I’m looking forward to year two, and I only hope I can make the time to really dedicate myself to taking the trips I want to take, experiencing the life altering things I’ve had on my ‘to do’ list for years and telling and recording the stories that reflect these new experiences. In year two, I’m not going to hold back.
Thanks for reading.
