Things to Do: Cheyenne, Wyoming

It’s hard to believe we moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, three years ago. A lot has happened during that time, not the least of which is that we managed to find all kinds of things to do in and around the state capitol as well as in neighboring cities and states.

Although it would be impossible to sum up three years in one post, I did take a moment to reflect on some of the new experiences we had during our time in the Cowboy State.

From attending the world’s largest outdoor rodeo, to witnessing cowboy skijoring, to hiking in world-famous Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, to having close encounters with bison, to finding ways of incorporating green chilis into routine dishes, to volunteering with local arts and environmental organizations, we made the most of our time and really got to know more about Wyoming and the Mountain West.

This reflection inspired me to capture some of the top activities and places we experienced. While this list is by no means comprehensive, it does include activities we personally checked off our list and would recommend. If I blogged about the experience, I provided a link to that post for more information.

Hope this is helpful if you’re planning your time in and around Cheyenne. And, I’d love to know some of your favorite activities that we missed!
